Leon Zuodar is a well-established painter on the Slovenian art scene, known for work made in dialogue with popular culture and especially with urban subcultures. He draws on techniques typical of these worlds, such as flatness, palimpsest, stylisation, repetition and variation of motifs, and the use of signs, slogans, mottos and stock characters, reworking them into humorous, sometimes ironic or even sarcastic commentary on everyday life.
