Matej Zupan

Matej Zupan works in painting, printmaking and photography, drawn above all to the aesthetics of the old from the recent history of his region. The physical material he uses is either inherited or found. He is a postgraduate painting student at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Ljubljana.

He has taken part in many group exhibitions, including Izziv sodobnosti at Bažato gallery in Ljubljana, Spominjanje at Siva gallery in Zagreb and Obraz na obrazu at Kibla in Maribor. His most recent solo presentation was Postavitev z rdečim pokrovom at the University of Ljubljana.
